The company plans to expand its range of security products manufactured in India further, aligning with the Government’s Make in India initiative.

The Illustra Standard Gen3 cameras, designed and produced in India, showcase the company’s dedication to self-sufficiency and strengthen its global manufacturing presence.
The move comes amid a significant surge in the adoption of surveillance systems for security and safety across various sectors, including homes, enterprises, manufacturing plants, offices, and public spaces like airports and railways. The Indian CCTV market is expected to reach USD 10.17 billion by 2029, with a CAGR of 20.60%. The launch of the Illustra Standard Gen3 line addresses the growing demand in the fragmented Indian video surveillance market, providing tailored features for diverse end-user needs.
Johnson Controls’ Illustra Standard Gen3 cameras, developed locally with stringent security measures, cater to industries such as defence, government, private enterprises, airports, and transportation projects. The company, which expanded its domestic manufacturing capabilities in 2023, aims to further broaden its portfolio of cameras and security solutions manufactured in India. This includes access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems, with a vision to not only serve the Indian market but also meet global demand, particularly in the Middle East and Latin America.
