At the Oracle CloudWorld Tour in Mumbai, India, Max Life Insurance Company Ltd. announced its migration of mission-critical database workloads to Oracle Exadata Database Service on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This move, which includes core systems like customer service and claims management, has resulted in a significant improvement in application performance, up to 70 percent. Additionally, Max Life’s business service uptime has remained close to 99 percent, contributing to enhanced business agility and customer satisfaction.
With India’s insurance sector projected to be among the fastest-growing globally, Max Life recognized the necessity of upgrading its legacy infrastructure to meet future demands. Oracle Exadata Database Service on OCI was chosen for its scalability, availability, and security features.
Suhail Ghai, Chief Digital and Information Officer at Max Life, emphasized the importance of cloud technologies in enhancing performance and availability for better customer experience. The migration lays a solid foundation for Max Life to capitalize on the growing demand for life insurance in India.

The project was implemented by Infolob Global, an Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) member, in less than five months. Satyendra Pasalapudi, Managing Director at Infolob Global, emphasized the increasing importance of hybrid and multicloud environments in modern IT strategies, noting their flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
