UiPath Unveils Cutting-Edge Developer Tools at DevCon 2024, Enhancing AI-driven Productivity for Developers

UiPath, during its recent DevCon 2024 event, introduced a range of new features aimed at empowering developers in building, testing, and expediting automation implementations. The event, attended by numerous AI and automation professionals, highlighted the company’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the UiPath Business Automation Platform.

Munil Shah, UiPath Automation Cloud’s Chief Technology Officer, emphasized the pivotal role of developers in the company’s innovation endeavors, introducing UiPath Autopilot as a significant stride in redefining DevOps for automation developers. Daniel Dines, Co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of UiPath, stressed the importance of providing comprehensive tools for modern automation development, integrating UI, API, data, and AI solutions seamlessly.

Key announcements at UiPath DevCon included:

• UiPath Autopilot for Test Suite: Offering advanced AI capabilities, this feature aims to enhance tester productivity across the testing lifecycle. It includes AI-powered quality checks, test design, automation, and insights, enabling rapid issue resolution and continuous improvement.
• UiPath Automation Marketplace and Solution Accelerators: Developers can leverage thousands of building blocks and templates in the Automation Marketplace and expedite automation implementation with Solution Accelerators, pre-built automation frameworks based on industry best practices.
• Generative AI Connectors: Expansion of Generative AI connectors enables developers to incorporate AI seamlessly into various use cases, such as text generation, image classification, and translation/transliteration.
• Improved developer capabilities for Integration Service: Enhancements in Connector Builder and Activity Designer streamline the creation of custom API integrations through a low-code UX.
• New India data centre: UiPath Automation Cloud’s global expansion includes a new data centre in India, catering to the growing demand for cloud services and offering improved accessibility and service speed for customers.

Moreover, at the 2024 UiPath Academic Summit in Bengaluru, UiPath announced initiatives aimed at equipping 500,000 Indians with AI and automation skills by 2027 through the UiPath Academic Alliance program in collaboration with partners like FutureSkills Prime. These efforts underscore UiPath’s commitment to fostering talent development and ensuring opportunities in the era of AI and automation.
