Intel Unveils Enhanced AI PC Platform for Business at MWC 2024

At Mobile World Congress 2024, Intel extended the advantages of AI PCs to business clients through the introduction of the new Intel vPro platform. This upgraded platform features enhanced capabilities of Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, equipped with integrated Intel Arc™ GPUs, and Intel Core™ 14th Gen processors, promising fresh PC experiences for various sectors including enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses, public institutions like education, and edge computing. This year’s expansive commercial lineup will offer over 100 designs of notebooks, 2-in-1 devices, desktops, and entry-level workstations from a range of partners such as Acer, ASUS, Dell Technologies, Dynabook, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, LG, Microsoft Surface, NEC, Panasonic, Samsung, and VAIO.

Regarding the processors empowering the AI PC for business, the new Intel Core Ultra processor boasts top-tier performance, improved power efficiency, and integrated Intel Arc GPUs. With dedicated AI acceleration distributed across the CPU, GPU, and the new neural processing unit (NPU), commercial PCs powered by Intel Core Ultra will efficiently handle everyday applications while unlocking a plethora of AI-driven experiences.

The newly available integrated Intel Arc GPU offers up to twice the graphics performance compared to the previous generation, alongside advanced features like AI and ray tracing to meet the demands of modern software. This is further enhanced by a newly introduced OEM-enabled Intel Arc Pro workstation graphics driver, enabling performance optimizations across creative, design, and engineering software.

The new Intel vPro platform builds upon Intel’s leadership in power and performance, ensuring a productive, secure, manageable, and stable foundation for commercial computing. Key features include:

• Productivity enhancements leveraging the latest processors and platform technologies, resulting in significant gains in office application productivity.
• Enhanced security with technologies like Intel Threat Detection Technology, which utilizes the new NPU for improved anomaly detection, and the Intel Silicon Security Engine for authenticating system firmware to safeguard against cyber threats.
• Improved manageability through features like Intel Device Discovery and Intel Device Health, providing visibility into fleet patching requirements and enabling end-to-end device management.
• Enhanced stability with programs like Intel’s Stable IT Program, ensuring compatibility with Windows 10 and Windows 11 and facilitating frictionless OS transitions.
• Sustainability across the PC product lifecycle, with the majority of Intel vPro devices meeting EPEAT Silver or better standards and remote repair capabilities that contribute to carbon emission savings.

The introduction of the AI PC marks a significant shift in how organizations utilize their PCs, promising new levels of productivity and experiences for the global workforce. As part of Intel’s AI PC Acceleration Program, over 300 AI-accelerated features, tailored for commercial collaboration, productivity, content creation, and accessibility, will be optimized to run efficiently on Intel platforms.
