Adobe offers a glimpse into its latest cutting-edge generative AI tools designed for crafting and modifying personalized audio content.

The innovative work from Adobe Research introduces an experimental generative AI music generation and editing tool called Project Music GenAI Control. This tool empowers creators to generate music from text prompts and then grants them precise control over editing the audio to meet their specific requirements.

Nicholas Bryan, a Senior Research Scientist at Adobe Research, highlights the collaborative nature of Project Music GenAI Control, where generative AI serves as a co-creator, aiding users in crafting music tailored to their projects’ mood, tone, and length.

With a legacy of AI innovation spanning over a decade, Adobe emphasizes its commitment to ethical AI development, ensuring accountability, responsibility, and transparency in its technologies. The new tools leverage text prompts inputted into a generative AI model, a methodology similar to Adobe’s successful Firefly AI image generation model.

The user-friendly interface allows for fine-grained editing directly within the workflow. Users can transform generated audio based on reference melodies, adjust tempo and structure, manipulate intensity levels, extend clip lengths, remix sections, or create seamlessly repeatable loops.
