SAP Names Manish Prasad as President and Managing Director for Indian Subcontinent

SAP has named Manish Prasad as the President and Managing Director for the SAP Indian Subcontinent, effective. This announcement comes as the company aims to bolster its presence in the rapidly growing Indian market. Prasad will succeed Kulmeet Bawa, who will now assume a global role focusing on driving the growth and adoption of the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) for customers worldwide.

Based in Bengaluru, Prasad will report directly to Paul Marriott, the President of SAP Asia Pacific Japan. Marriott emphasized the strategic importance of India as a key market for SAP’s growth and innovation initiatives. He expressed gratitude to Bawa for his significant contributions over the past three years, which have led to continued success and expansion for SAP India.

Prasad brings extensive experience in building and overseeing global and regional businesses across various regions, including North America, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. He acknowledged India’s pivotal role in its digital transformation journey, particularly in embracing emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, which presents unprecedented opportunities.

In his new role, Prasad will drive SAP’s transition to the cloud, aiming to empower customers from diverse industries to undergo digital transformation with SAP solutions. He expressed eagerness to collaborate with SAP’s skilled teams to accelerate growth and assist customers in their pursuit of becoming intelligent, sustainable, and future-ready enterprises.
