BrightDrive, a frontrunner in autonomous driving tech, revealed a strategic collaboration with SiMa.ai, a company specializing in software-centric, embedded edge machine learning system-on-chip technology. Their partnership aims to expedite advancements in autonomous driving by merging SiMa.ai’s state-of-the-art MLSoC™ with BrightDrive’s advanced hardware platform.

BrightDrive’s Autonomous Driving HW Platform, tailored to manage and expand self-driving applications from Level 1 to 5, is poised to reshape the future of transportation. With robust processing capabilities, ample data bandwidth, and minimal power consumption, the ASIL D platform establishes a new benchmark for safety, efficiency, and scalability in autonomous driving. It is slated for release by late 2026.

Hossam Yahia, CEO of BrightDrive, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with SiMa.ai, stating that the partnership signifies the debut of the A-Sample of their advanced BrightDrive autonomous driving Platform, showcasing significant performance capabilities. Future samples will incorporate additional sensor interfaces, AUTOSAR, ISO26262, and ISO 21434 compliance. The joint efforts of BrightDrive and SiMa.ai will be showcased at the upcoming Embedded World Conference on April 9 – 11, 2024, offering attendees the chance to witness a live demonstration of sensor fusion technology. The demonstration, featuring real-time fusion of 4 Cameras and 2 LIDAR sensors, underscores the seamless integration of SiMa.ai’s technology with BrightDrive’s HW platform.
