Iris Global Partners with Hyderabad-Based Firm to Provide Dell Compute Products for ISRO, Defense, and Scientific Research

Iris Global, a prominent IT distribution company based in Delhi, has supplied Dell Compute products to their partner, Vama Industries Ltd, in Hyderabad. These products are intended for integration into installations at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), defense facilities, and scientific research centers.

Vama Industries Ltd, established in 2004 and headquartered in Hyderabad, is a system integration company with operations in Delhi, Mumbai, and soon in Bangalore. With a workforce of 60 employees, Vama recorded a turnover of Rs 11 crore last fiscal year. The company specializes in Cad Cam-based Design Engineering Services for American firms and undertakes system integration projects for defense, scientific research, and DRDO installations for the central government.

Over the past decade, Vama has executed installations worth Rs 40 crore, including Hierarchical Storage Management projects involving EMC Storage, Dell Servers, and Spectra logic storage solutions.

Mr. RamaRaju, Managing Director of Vama Technologies, praised Iris Global as a top-tier distributor with excellent responsiveness, support, and services. Vama has sourced Dell Servers, Storage, and Networking products from Iris for defense labs and ISRO installations.

Iris Global is renowned as the most preferred IT distributor, known for its prompt response, on-time delivery, and transparent service. They assist partners by structuring complex business deals and are willing to go to great lengths, such as opening warehouses at midnight, to meet urgent delivery deadlines.

Looking ahead to the fiscal year 2024-25, Mr. RamaRaju anticipates increased business with Iris, especially with the expected acceleration in government projects. He aims to surpass Rs 15 crore in business with Iris.

Mr. Ashghar Khan, Branch Manager of Iris Global Services in Hyderabad, highlighted their commitment to supporting Vama Technologies with the latest products and services, particularly in scientific installations within the central government sectors.

In recent times, Iris has supplied critical infrastructure components such as APC Symmetra Modular UPS and Ruckus Controllers and Access Points for various projects, including the PRL-ISRO Data Center and Chennai Airport. They are prepared to fulfill orders from partners in the aviation solution business.
