TCS, Accenture, and Cognizant Top LinkedIn’s List of Leading Large Companies in Tech

Tech giants like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Accenture, and Cognizant have emerged as leaders in LinkedIn’s 2024 Top Companies list in India. This year’s rankings highlight the demand for skills like investor relations and capital markets, as well as job opportunities across various industries in cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

TCS secured the top position on the list, followed by Accenture and Cognizant. Financial services companies notably dominated the rankings, with nine out of the top 25 companies belonging to this sector, including Macquarie Group, Morgan Stanley, and JPMorgan Chase and Co.

LinkedIn’s data-driven insights also revealed a strong presence of software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms and online travel companies in the list of top mid-size companies. Lentra and MakeMyTrip ranked at the forefront in this category.

Furthermore, the inclusion of companies like Nykaa and Dream11 underscores the diverse range of opportunities available across different industries for job seekers in India.

The data also shed light on the in-demand skills sought by top companies, with financial services firms prioritizing skills like investor relations and capital markets, while technology companies focus on areas such as enterprise software, data storage technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI). Additionally, skills like revenue analysis, nonprofit management, and mobile application development are experiencing increased demand.

Bengaluru emerged as the top location for these top companies, followed by Hyderabad, Mumbai Metropolitan Region, and Pune. LinkedIn’s ranking criteria considered factors like career advancement opportunities, skills growth, company stability, external job opportunities, gender diversity, educational background, and employee presence in the country.
