Cognizant and Microsoft have teamed up to boost the integration of generative AI across various enterprises. In this expanded partnership, Cognizant has acquired 25,000 Microsoft 365 Copilot licenses for its associates, along with 500 Sales Copilot seats and 500 Services Copilot seats. These resources aim to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance customer interactions.
Moreover, Cognizant plans to deploy Microsoft 365 Copilot to a million users within its extensive client base across 11 different industries. Through its Synapse skilling program, Cognizant has already trained 35,000 developers on GitHub Copilot, with an additional 40,000 set to receive training.
Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant, emphasized the transformative potential of generative AI, highlighting their $1 billion investment over the next three years in this technology. He sees generative AI as a catalyst for innovation, efficiency, and growth across industries.
Microsoft’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Judson Althoff, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting its potential to revolutionize business operations, enhance employee experiences, and create value for customers. The collaboration aims to drive AI adoption and innovation, leveraging Cognizant’s industry expertise alongside Microsoft’s Copilot capabilities.
To capitalize on these opportunities, Cognizant and Microsoft will collaborate on developing industry-specific solutions using Copilot Studio. This platform enables users to customize Copilots for specific business functions and industries, leveraging large language models, business applications, and enterprise data. Priority sectors for these solutions include retail, financial services, manufacturing, and communications and media, among others.
