Cognizant, a global IT and professional services company, recently updated its logo on social media channels to “Innovate” while facing a logo trademark dispute with Atyati Technologies in India. The change follows a Bombay High Court order restraining Cognizant from using its previous logo in India due to the dispute. However, a Cognizant spokesperson clarified that the logo change is temporary, coinciding with the anniversary of their Bluebolt innovation initiative. This initiative, launched on World Innovation Day in April, aims to encourage innovative ideas among employees. Additionally, Cognizant reported significant cost savings through its Bluebolt program, with over 130,000 ideas submitted and more than 23,000 implemented. The company’s global workforce has seen a reduction, with about 250,000 employees in India out of a total of 344,400 as of March 2024.
