Wipro Names Sanjeev Jain as New Chief Operating Officer

**East Brunswick, NJ / Bengaluru, India – May 17, 2024:** Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO), a leading technology services and consulting firm, has appointed Sanjeev Jain as Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. Sanjeev takes over from Amit Choudhary, who is leaving to explore new opportunities. Sanjeev will report to Srinivas Pallia and remain a member of Wipro’s Executive Committee.

Since joining Wipro in 2023 as Global Head of Business Operations, Sanjeev has brought over 30 years of experience in managing large teams, expanding global operations, and implementing Lean Six Sigma and design thinking for business transformation. Over the past year, he has led Wipro’s talent supply chain, gig work platform TopGear, talent skilling, global mobility, talent acquisition, and business resilience. He has been pivotal in Wipro’s AI training and upskilling strategy.

As COO, Sanjeev will focus on building a client-centric delivery organization aimed at sustainable, profitable growth. He will oversee Global Business Operations, the Chief Information Office, the Chief Information Security Office, and Enterprise Risk Management. Sanjeev will collaborate closely with Wipro’s leadership on transformation initiatives.

Srinivas Pallia, CEO and Managing Director of Wipro Limited, praised Sanjeev’s impact, noting his role in AI training and upskilling, career development for next-gen associates, and enhancing operational efficiency. Pallia also thanked Amit for his contributions over the past two years and confirmed that Amit will assist with the transition until the end of May.

Before Wipro, Sanjeev held leadership roles at Kyndryl Holdings, IBM, Cognizant, and GE, driving profitable growth through talent supply chain integration, margin expansion, process simplification, and strengthening operational rhythms. He is an alumnus of IIM-Mumbai and a certified Master Black Belt from GE. Sanjeev will be based in Bengaluru.
