NoPo Nanotechnologies, a Bengaluru-based startup producing an advanced material capable of replacing silicon in semiconductors and batteries, is ramping up its production capacity, according to its founders.
The company specializes in single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs), which have diverse applications, from enhancing energy density in EV batteries to improving semiconductor design.
NoPo is focusing on single chiral SWCNTs that offer precise band gap control for electronics. This material could significantly impact advanced semiconductor designs, cofounders Arunima Patel and Gadhadar Reddy told ET.
“This material is beneficial for semiconductors and EV batteries. We’ve identified over 120 applications globally being explored by researchers. Its strength is one of its standout properties,” said Patel.
