Commvault Expands Cybersecurity Network with New Partner Integrations

Commvault Enhances Security Ecosystem with Collaborations with Acante, Dasera, Google Cloud, Splunk, and Wiz

Commvault to Showcase Security Integrations and Innovations at Black Hat Conference

Commvault, a leader in cyber resilience and data protection for hybrid cloud environments, has announced a major expansion of its cyber and data security ecosystem. The company has formed strategic partnerships with Acante, Dasera, Google Cloud, Splunk, and Wiz.

These new integrations are designed to improve cyber resilience for joint customers by offering enhanced threat detection, data visibility, and accelerated recovery processes across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud settings. The bi-directional nature of these integrations allows customers to use their chosen security, data protection, and recovery solutions. This collaboration helps security teams better understand, defend against, and recover from risks and threats.

The timing for these integrations is crucial. A recent study by GigaOm, commissioned by Commvault, reveals that only 13% of organizations are adequately prepared to defend against and quickly recover from cyberattacks. Despite this, 54% of these organizations express strong confidence in their recovery capabilities. More details are available in the 2024 Cyber Recovery Readiness Report.

Rajiv Kottomtharayil, Commvault’s Chief Product Officer, stated, “Commvault is dedicated to collaborating with industry leaders in cybersecurity, data security posture management (DSPM), and artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance our customers’ security posture. Addressing today’s cyber threats requires collective effort, and these integrations help our customers achieve true organizational resilience.”

The new integrations with these partners enhance various aspects of data discovery, classification, and cyber resilience:

– Acante: Provides a data access governance solution that simplifies and accelerates secure, compliant access to critical data in modern data and AI cloud environments.

– Dasera: Delivers DSPM solutions for identifying sensitive data, automating data security and governance, and addressing data security risks quickly.

– Google Threat Intelligence: Offers advanced threat visibility and actionable context powered by AI, allowing organizations to proactively defend against and respond to new threats. The integration includes a Google Threat Intelligence licensed API key for seamless threat investigation within Commvault.

– Splunk: Enhances threat detection and response with its data analytics platform, providing real-time operational intelligence for comprehensive security insights.

– Wiz: Provides a unified cloud security platform with visibility and context, helping users secure their cloud environments.
