Zoom Video Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZM) has introduced Zoom Docs, a new AI-driven document collaboration tool now available within Zoom Workplace. This innovative solution, powered by Zoom’s AI Companion, aims to enhance productivity and streamline teamwork.

“Zoom Docs represents our first product within Zoom Workplace built entirely around generative AI,” said Smita Hashim, Chief Product Officer at Zoom. “It transforms data from Zoom Meetings into actionable documents, helping teams focus on essential tasks. Included at no extra charge with Zoom Workplace licenses, Zoom Docs, along with AI Companion, supports our goal to increase work efficiency and give users more time back in their day.”

Enhancing Team Collaboration

Zoom Docs addresses common workplace challenges such as repetitive tasks, information overload, and cross-functional alignment issues. By leveraging AI Companion, it converts meeting outcomes into actionable documents, facilitating efficient content creation and adaptation to various team needs.

Meeting Collaboration: Converts meeting notes into organized documents, centralizes meeting summaries, and allows real-time co-editing within meetings.
Business Documents: Simplifies the creation and revision of documents, proposals, and reports, including translation for global teams.
Project Planning: Provides templates for project briefs and tracking, consolidates project materials, and improves visibility into progress and updates.
Information Hub: Enables the creation of wikis for knowledge bases, team onboarding, and goal tracking.

With Zoom Docs, users can:

– Transform meeting summaries into editable documents, reducing manual note-taking.
– Generate and revise content based on meeting transcripts with custom commands.
– Edit and summarize documents, correct errors, and translate content into nine languages, with more languages to be added.

Zoom Docs enhances the effectiveness of meetings by:

– Allowing users to start and schedule meetings directly from a Zoom Doc.
– Facilitating document creation and co-editing during meetings.
– Streamlining document sharing and permissions within Zoom Workplace.

– Customize documents with various content blocks and data tables.
– Embed content from Zoom Workplace and third-party apps.
– Organize documents with filters and permissions for efficient management.

Zoom Docs is available for all paid Zoom Workplace plans and can be accessed through the Zoom Workplace app (version 6.1.6 or later) or the Zoom Web App. Basic users can create up to 10 shared documents and unlimited personal documents, but for full AI Companion features, an upgrade to Zoom Workplace Pro, Business, or Enterprise plans is required.
