Secures Key Role in Safe City Project for Panvel Municipal Corporation

Mumbai, September 11, 2024 – Aurionpro is excited to announce a major contract award from the Municipal Corporation of Panvel in Maharashtra, India. As the chosen Technology Partner for the Panvel Safe City project, Aurionpro will oversee the installation and management of advanced surveillance and smart city technologies, significantly upgrading the city’s safety and security systems.

This prestigious project includes setting up Data Centers, a cutting-edge Control Command Center, and Video Analytics for real-time monitoring and quicker response times. It will also incorporate advanced AI technologies, such as Facial Recognition, an IP-based Public Announcement system, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), and an e-Challan system, aimed at enhancing crime prevention and improving safety measures, particularly for women.

The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC), which governs 29 revenue villages and CIDCO colonies, has expanded its jurisdiction to 110 square kilometers following the transfer of civic infrastructure from CIDCO. In response, PMC has launched the “Safe Panvel Project” to upgrade the city’s security infrastructure.

The contract, worth over INR 200 crores, spans five years. The initial implementation phase will be completed within the next 12 months, followed by an extended maintenance and support phase.
