IndiGo Partners with Amadeus to Enhance NDC Distribution

IndiGo, India’s largest airline, has formed a strategic partnership with travel technology leader Amadeus to offer its New Distribution Capability (NDC) content to travel sellers worldwide through the Amadeus Travel Platform.

By leveraging Amadeus’s advanced distribution technology and extensive market reach, IndiGo aims to enhance its competitive advantage. With plans to serve over 110 million passengers in 2024 and a substantial aircraft order book, the airline expects to access new markets and customer segments through Amadeus’s 96% global coverage of NDC-ready travel sellers.

NDC technology revolutionizes distribution by allowing airlines to efficiently share content with travel sellers and enhance retailing. It simplifies the booking process for corporate clients and travel agencies by providing direct access to IndiGo’s full range of offerings, enabling streamlined operations and the ability to present exclusive deals tailored to individual travelers.

Through Amadeus’s NDC capabilities and integration with its IT systems via Navitaire, IndiGo can create dynamically priced offers that boost ancillary sales and improve the customer experience across all sales channels. Currently, IndiGo has launched NDC booking and servicing in the UAE and Singapore, with plans to expand to additional markets.

IndiGo’s adoption of NDC technology demonstrates its commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. By increasing the accessibility and reach of its services, the airline empowers customers to make informed choices, enhancing their travel experience from booking to boarding.
