Amadeus announced a strengthened distribution agreement with United Airlines, allowing the Chicago-based airline to offer a diverse array of content through the Amadeus Travel Platform.
This partnership incorporates both New Distribution Capability (NDC) and EDIFACT content, equipping travel sellers with an extensive selection of flights and fares, thereby enabling them to create personalized travel experiences that consumers increasingly desire through NDC.
Kurt Van Meir, Managing Director of Distribution at United Airlines, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Amadeus has been a vital distribution partner in the deployment of NDC, and we are delighted to accelerate that journey today.” He highlighted the goal of enhancing the shopping experience for travelers across all channels.
Kamal Singhee, Senior Vice President of Airlines for North America at Amadeus, added that their strategy focuses on integrating technology and innovative solutions to help travel sellers meet individual traveler needs while providing a seamless booking and service experience. He emphasized that expanding the relationship with United Airlines would help travel sellers leverage the full advantages of NDC content and technology globally.
