By Anuj Singhal

Former Infosys CEO and ex-SAP CTO Vishal Sikka has unveiled Hang Ten Systems, a new enterprise AI startup focused on transforming how organisations build, modernise and manage software using AI-native delivery models. The Palo Alto-based company has emerged from stealth with $32 million in seed funding, led by Mayfield, alongside a strategic investment from Aramco Ventures and participation from several angel investors. Hang Ten Systems is positioning itself as an AI-first enterprise services company that leverages agentic AI, reusable software skills, and domain expertise to accelerate application development and enterprise transformation. Rather than following the traditional IT services model, the company aims to help businesses continuously develop, modify and operate software through AI-driven automation and engineering.

Announcing the venture, Sikka described Hang Ten as an initiative designed to help enterprises navigate the next wave of AI-led transformation. He said organisations are facing a pivotal moment where AI has the potential to fundamentally reshape software development and business operations, but many are still struggling to convert AI investments into measurable business outcomes. The startup has already begun working with global enterprises, including Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Fresenius, demonstrating early traction in sectors seeking AI-enabled software delivery and operational efficiency. Its leadership team includes several executives who have previously worked with Sikka at SAP, Infosys and his earlier AI venture, VianAI, while Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang has joined the company’s board. The launch comes at a time when the global IT services industry is undergoing significant disruption as enterprises increasingly adopt generative AI and autonomous software engineering capabilities. Traditional service providers are expanding their AI offerings, while new AI-native companies are rethinking how enterprise software is designed, implemented and maintained. Industry analysts believe this shift could redefine the economics of IT services over the coming decade.

For channel partners, system integrators, managed service providers and enterprise technology leaders, Hang Ten Systems signals the emergence of a new generation of AI-native service providers. As enterprises move beyond AI experimentation toward large-scale deployment, partners will increasingly need to combine deep domain expertise with AI-driven automation to remain competitive. Sikka’s latest venture reflects the industry’s growing transition from conventional IT services to intelligent, AI-powered software delivery models.
