The GITEX Technology Week 2015 Student Lab competition judged projects of the finalists today, sponsored by UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs and in association with Google for Work.
Student Lab is an innovative ICT competition that aims to recognise and promotetomorrow’s technology leaders. The winner will receive AED 30,000, the runner-up will receive AED 20,000, and third place will receive AED 10,000.
Finalists hail from universities in Bahrain, India, Nigeria, Palestine, and the UAE for projects such as smart traffic, education, healthcare, energy management, and document verification.
“We are excited to participate as a Student Lab partner at GITEX. Education is a big priority for Google, and we look forward to sharing our experience to help more people discover, connect with, and love learning,” said Abdel Wahed Bendaoua, Head of Enterprise, Emerging Markets – EMEA, Google.
