• Please tell us about yourself and your role at G-Tech Solutions?
I’m Gordon Fernandez, and I head up the Software Consultancy division of G-Tech Solutions. G-Tech has been in operation for 23 years and has traditionally focused on hardware sales. Recently however, we have branched out into the realm of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) development, as well as system integration for PCs and desktops. We have been providing e-learning solutions to companies like Mahindra and Aditya Birla Group for the past 4 years, and we now offer resource replacement services as well.
•What are the top challenges your customers face in their digital transformation journey?
One of the top challenges customers face in their digital transformation journey is training. Training often involves a cost, but virtual reality (VR) can help reduce that cost. For example, in welding processes, VR reduces the need for raw materials, allowing for digital training. Additionally, VR can help provide an augmented experience to the training process, allowing for an easier transition when moving from the digital environment to the actual shop floor.
•How do you enable customers on a smooth journey towards digital transformation?
Facilitating a smooth transition to digital transformation is possible through e-learning. This process allows users to gain a comprehensive understanding of the process, and provides a realistic view of the shop floor. Additionally, we offer integration services that are tailored to our customers’ needs, thereby alleviating the stress of implementing all the services. Our goal is to help customers manage their journey every step of the way.
• What are the sectors you see large traction?
The financial sector has been a major area of focus for us, with hardware sales and integration sales, as well as Arista wireless equipment. Additionally, Mahindra is a major client for us in the virtual reality (VR) space, and Aditya Birla is heavily invested in VR implementations. The areas we have seen the most traction in are largely manufacturing and the financial sector.
