Informa Tech, a prominent provider of market insight and access to the global business technology community, has announced its agreement to acquire Canalys, a leading global technology market research and events firm specializing in Channel and Mobility technology.
With this acquisition, Informa Tech will expand its Omdia research capabilities to encompass Channel (distributors, value-added resellers, systems integrators, and managed service providers) and Mobility (consumer and business devices) markets. The deal aims to create a global platform for networking within the Channel by merging Canalys and Informa Tech’s Channel events franchises.

With over 70% of all business technology being sold via the Channel, it holds immense importance for customers.
