A former Google employee who headed the company’s AI projects has now joined Amazon’s board of directors.

Dr. Andrew Ng, a former Google employee who spearheaded the company’s AI endeavors, has joined Amazon’s Board of Directors. His appointment, effective April 9, 2024, brings a wealth of expertise in AI and education. Dr. Ng currently holds the position of managing general partner at AI Fund, a venture capital firm specializing in AI startups. Additionally, he leads DeepLearning.AI, an educational platform dedicated to AI training, and is a co-founder of Landing AI, a company focused on computer vision software.
