Salesforce has halted its efforts to acquire Informatica, a data-management software company, as negotiations between the two firms failed to reach agreement on terms. The Wall Street Journal reported that discussions revolved around a per-share price for Informatica in the mid-$30s. Initially, when talks surfaced on April 12, Informatica’s shares were valued at $38.48, but they closed at $35.19 on Friday, putting the company’s total worth, including debt, at approximately $11.2 billion. Both Salesforce and Informatica have yet to comment on the matter in response to Reuters’ inquiries.
