NetApp Collaborates with NVIDIA to Revolutionize Enterprise RAG and Enhance AI Capabilities

NetApp has announced new integrated solutions combining its intelligent data infrastructure with NVIDIA’s AI software to redefine enterprise retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and fuel advanced agentic AI applications. NetApp’s ONTAP data infrastructure, along with NVIDIA NeMo Retriever and NIM microservices, will enable enterprises to harness vast amounts of data across hybrid cloud environments to accelerate AI-driven innovation.

The collaboration enhances NetApp’s ONTAP unified storage system with a global metadata namespace, allowing enterprises to unlock and manage exabytes of data, driving next-generation AI applications. These solutions, built on NetApp’s AIPod architecture, certified for NVIDIA DGX BasePOD and OVX solutions, will enable seamless data discovery, curation, and governance across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.

Harv Bhela, Chief Product Officer at NetApp, emphasized the importance of unlocking data potential for AI to drive business transformation. Manuvir Das, VP of Enterprise Computing at NVIDIA, highlighted how the partnership would help enterprises turn data into actionable AI insights.

The integrated solution will ensure secure, policy-compliant AI data management throughout the lifecycle, available as a technology preview later this year. NetApp is also working on certifying its ONTAP storage for NVIDIA’s DGX SuperPOD, expanding AI project support for large enterprises.
