Digital healthcare Summit’s Knowledge Partner- HIT Club

The Second Digital Healthcare Summit held in Mumbai on October 21st, saw the beginning of an association that is expected to bring about a long awaited synergy in the technology industry. The knowledge partner for the Second Digital Healthcare Summit was a newly formed body – the HIT Club – a Non-Profit Organization second-digital-health-summit(NPO) Society registered under The Bombay Port Trust Act of 1879.

With healthcare taking the prime seat as the highest consumer of technology and IT, it was just a matter of time that the technology heads of healthcare organisations  came together to ensure complete collaboration in terms of best practices, learnings and innovations. Evolving technologies, growing demand for better care, reach and efficiency from hospitals, and of course, the Digital India Objective- these are the primary reasons for setting up of this organisation.

The club has been founded by a managing committee of 7 members- Mr. Girish Koppar, Sr. Manager IT, Lilavati Hospital & Research Center as Secretary; Mr. Suresh Kumar, CIO, Seven Hills Hospital as President; Mr. Niranjan Ramakrishnan, CIO, Sir Gangaram Hospital as Vice- President; Mr. Ashok Kamble, Healthcare Professional as Treasurer, Mr. Girish Kulkarni, CMIO, Medwell Cytecare Hospitals, Mr. Ishaq Quadri, CIO, KIMS Trivandrum and Mr. Atul Umak, AGM -IT, Dr L H Hiranandani Hospital.

The vision for these driven individuals is very clear- to provide transformational and visionary leadership for successful adoption of digital technologies in hospitals. Their objective is to work towards effective, patient centric, meaningful adoption of information and communication technologies in hospitals by way of ideation, sharing expertise, networking and collaboration. They plan to create benchmarks to enhance the knowledge, capability and maturity of skills and competencies, thus promoting and nurturing Innovation

Going forward, the HIT club will actively participate in activities that will enable the group to reach out and collaborate with experts in booth IT and healthcare- to build an educational and interactive platform that will benefit healthcare as well as IT professionals and their respective organizations.
